eclecTechs™ Purchases ValiNet
A Greenfield-based Internet Service Provider
ValiNet, a Greenfield-based Internet service provider, has been purchased by eclecTechs™, an Internet-focused company in Northampton. The acquisition brings ownership of ValiNet back to the Pioneer Valley. Former owner was Alibris Inc., a California corporation. Purchase price was not disclosed. The deal was completed August 31.
In announcing the deal Victoria A. White, owner and founder of eclecTechs™, said, "This acquisition provides an opportunity to better serve our customers via one-stop shopping. We are now able to directly offer our customers domain name hosting, web site hosting and unlimited Internet access for just $18 per month."
ValiNet currently offers Internet access in Hampshire and Franklin counties, with dial up numbers in Greenfield, Northampton, and in Chesterfield, serving the hilltowns. White said her company plans to "expand and improve upon" Valinet's services.
eclecTechs™ specializes in web site design and development. The company also offers database development; C.G.I., JavaScript and Java programming; Internet marketing; Internet and computer training; Internet consultation; technical support; network consulting; and Internet-related hardware and software sales.
eclecTechs™ has developed more than 250 web sites, and trained thousands on computer and Internet-related topics. The company offers 22 regularly scheduled classes on a variety of computer and Internet-related topics. Clients include corporations, organizations, Chambers of Commerce, small businesses, individuals, elected officials, and non-profit organizations throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York as well as in Alabama, California, Florida, Ohio, Washington DC and the Netherlands.
On December 1, eclecTechs™ will move from its Hawley Street location to 26 Market Street. The move will provide the company with more spacious facilities, and with the potential to provide more and better services to customers.
