Music and Information at Your Fingertips at wfcr.org
Currently averaging around 10,000 hits a day, wfcr.org offers such popular services as streaming audio, daily music playlists, the programming pages, Field Notes, a travel page, an arts calendar and links to area arts organizations. Recently we have added audio archives, so that listeners can replay news or Field Notes features, and even a fanfare performed by Walter Chesnut.
In the last several months we have redesigned the whole website to make it more attractive, faster to load and easier to navigate. This more modern appearance makes use of graphics to give easy access to information about WFCR's programs and personnel, to check on the news and find out about special events. If you have missed something on WFCR or want more information about something you've heard, wfcr.org is your online resource.
WFCR has been online at wfcr.org since 1997. Beginning with just a program grid, a few black-and-white photographs of our on-air staff, and some simple pages about the mission of the station, the website has grown to provide a 24-hour, seven-day source of information about the station and its services plus a vast number of links to the rest of the world. Special thanks go to Karin Obermeier of WFCR's staff for her efforts in organizing the redesign, and to Victoria White and her staff at eclecTechs for their design and for hosting wfcr.org.
