Configuring Windows 2000

1. Go to Start, and select Network and Dial-up Connections.

2. Double Click Make A New Connection (opens the Internet Connection Wizard).

3. Click Next.

4. Select Dial-up to a Private Network (connect using my phone line, modem or ISDN).

5. Click Next.

6. Put in one of our 56K access numbers including the area code, then press Next.
7. Make sure Use Dialing Rules is not checked off, then click Next.

8. Select Create This Connection For All Users.

9. Click Next.

10. Name the connection eclecTechs and check off Add a Shortcut To My Desktop.

11. Click Finish.

12. Your dial-up connection is all set, you will now need to setup your e-mail.

13. Go to e-mail setup.

14. Once you have setup your e-mail, you can connect by double clicking on the eclecTechs icon on your desktop.

15. Enter your username (make sure it is your full e-mail address. ex: username@valinet.com, username@westmass.com or username@noho.com).

16. Enter your password.

17. Click Connect.
