Configuring Windows XP

1. Go to Start, and select Control Panel.

2. Click on Network or Internet Connection.

3. Click on Setup Or Change Your Internet Connection.

4. Click on the Add button (brings up the new connection wizard)

5. Select Dial-up to a Private Network (connect using my phone line, modem or ISDN)

6. Click Next

7. Put in one of our 56K access numbers including the area code, then press Next.
8. Type in eclecTechs for the name of this connection.

9. Press Finish

10. The eclecTechs Settings dialog box should now open.

11. Enter your username (make sure it is your full e-mail address. ex: username@valinet.com, username@westmass.com or username@noho.com).

12. Enter your password.

13. Do not put anything in the domain section.

14. Press OK. You will be brought back to the Internet Properties dialog box.

15. Put a check next to Dial whenever a network connection is not present.

16. Press Apply

17. Press OK.

18. Your dial-up connection is all set, you will now need to setup your e-mail.

19. Go to e-mail setup.

20. Once you have setup your e-mail, you can connect by double clicking on Internet Explorer, or Netscape.
